Sound Therapy
Private or Group Sound Healing Journeys and Integrated Sound Therapy
The use of sound vibration has been a powerful tool for centuries. Ancient cultures understood the therapeutic nature of it and the role it has played in history is significant around the globe. The use of sound therapy has been linked to many benefits including soothing the nervous system, aiding in digestion, calming the mind and promoting overall wellness. During this sound healing journey participants will settle into a comfortable position while a collection of instruments including singing bowls, gongs, chimes, drums, tingshas and other sound tools may be used to create an environment of relaxation.
In group sound healing journeys, participants settle into the space where they are supported by the shared energy of the collective. The participant’s role is to be present, connect with their breath and allow themselves to “BE” while the sound work does the rest.
The private sound healing journey is designed for smaller private groups or one-on-one experiences providing an energy that is more focused on each individual and the sound tools that will be most in tune with their specific needs at that time. While the group sessions are wonderful and allow for a greater energetically collective event, the private journeys lend more attention to each participant.
On the body sound therapy sessions integrate several modalities including: breathwork, grounding practices, and techniques that allow the bowls to be played on specific points on and off the body. These one-on-one sessions really concentrate on the various energy centers of the participant and work to restore balance to them. The participant lays on a table, fully clothed for this protocol and the touch is minimal. Think of it as a massage for your energy centers through the vibration of the sound tools.
